Barking Mouse has spent most of 2019 working with the University of Technology social impact unit on a short documentary that follows the team’s world-first social impact measurement toolbox.

The documentary follows the story of 25-year not-for-profit, Sydney Street Choir and the profound impact the organisation has had on the lives of disadvantaged people in Sydney. With social impact being an increasingly important metric in assessing not-for-profits, organisations like Sydney Street Choir are now challenged with the need to turn the often-intangible into data.

In the 9-minute documentary we follow SSC as they work with UTS, who have developed a free, reliable and accessible digital toolbox for not-for-profits to utilise in order to upskill and measure their impact.

Funded with the support of PAYCE Foundation (an organisation built on the philanthropic tradition of leading property developer, PAYCE) the documentary will be released on UTS digital platforms in December 2019.
The social impact measurement toolbox will launch next Wednesday 23rd October in Sydney.

Once the toolbox has launched, Barking Mouse will continue to work with UTS on additional short documentaries which will profile the stories of other not-for-profits.

Barking Mouse previously worked with UTS to produce Ruff Sleepers.
